Look for the Go-Local Guide at your local businesses!

With the growing interest in buy-local options in the Flathead Valley, Citizens for a Better Flathead offered our volunteer energy and skills to help publish the first free hard-copy guide to shopping locally in the Flathead in November of 2009 entitled Think Local First, A Guide To Local Shopping For The Holidays And Beyond. After the success of this publication and at the urging of many local businesses, we published a summer issue called Go Local Flathead: Guide to Local Businesses. This will be a bi-annual publication.

Thanks to the volunteer skills and time of many, we are offering local businesses the opportunity to buy full color ads at an incredible bargain rate in this publication.  See the attached sheet for ad sizes and rates.  For this winter's issue we've printed 5000 copies for distribution at local businesses. We will also provide promotion by email to over 1800 local residents and to web site visitors.  We look forward to growing this publication. This issue features businesses under the following headings:

Shop Local •  Dine & Unwind Local • Stay Local • Experience Local • Indulge Local • Cook Local • Grow Local • Get Service Local • Conserve Local

Citizens for a Better Flathead’s (CBF) role in this publication is only to provide the talent and volunteer support to make it happen. As the statement above lays out, you take the credit as a local business that advertises in this guide. Purchase of an ad is not an endorsement of any other business, organization or group.  Non-advertisement text in this publication will be similar to the text and theme of the first publication of this guide (see sample provided) and will promote the economic and community character benefits of shopping locally.

Please contact us if you have any questions or to share ideas.
